Watkins provided extensive litigation support, including analysis and research to a government agency client. During this engagement, Watkins provided guidance on the appropriate application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”), Regulatory Accounting Principles (“RAP”) and Congressional Acts. Moreover, Watkins litigation experts analyzed the economics of both particular transactions and the overall environment during relevant time periods. In consultation with client attorneys, Watkins provided and coordinated testifying expert services in areas such as general and regulatory accounting, thrift and subsidiary operations, and other financial fields. In addition, Watkins provided standard litigation support in the form of core document research, document management, deposition preparation, and pre-trial activity support and trial attendance. Finally, Watkins experts addressed and rebutted plaintiffs’ damage analyses and models and developed affirmative damage analyses, as warranted.
